Welcome to our fostering community dedicated to providing a safe haven for animals in need at GAIN! By opening your heart and home to a furry friend in need, you are not only changing their life but also enriching your own in ways you never thought possible. TYPES OF FOSTERING
INFANT FOSTER
We can not adopt out pets who are underaged or unsterilized. So when an animal comes into our shelter who is too young or is underweight for surgery, they go into foster care until they are of age and weight.
MEDICAL FOSTER
Sometimes we have animals that need a little extra TLC prior to adoption. Their needs vary from needing oral medication, medicated baths, wound care, or simply needing a home environment to recover.

On occasion we need to send adult pets into a home for little bit to give them a break from the shelter, and to help us gain insights on how the animal is in a home. Giving us information to help find their new family.
FLIGHT FOSTER
Our partner rescue, Boonie Flight Project, flies our dogs to state side adopters. So when a pet is adopted, it needs to go into foster care until it's flight date, to open up our shelter to take in more animals.
